U-SPACE 2025

Welcome to the U-SPACE Dependability, Security, and Resilience for Future Airspace Safety (U-SPACE 2026) workshop. We are delighted to host you at the second edition of U-SPACE, dedicated to exploring both current and emerging challenges and solutions to ensure the safety of future airspace. This workshop aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to explore the frameworks, technologies, and applications needed for safe, dependable, and secure UAV operations in low-altitude urban environments.

The U-SPACE workshop is co-located with the 21th European Dependable Computing Conference (EDCC 2026), which will be held in the beautiful city of Canterbury, UK, from April 7th to 10th, 2025. This event provides an excellent opportunity for exchanging ideas with a wider community and finding new project partners for future collaborations.

The European Dependable Computing Conference (EDCC) is a leading venue for presenting and discussing the latest research, industrial practices, and innovations in dependable and secure computing, with a long-standing tradition that began in 1994 and now celebrates its 21th edition.

This workshop supports EDCC’s mission to provide a platform for sharing advances in dependable and secure computing systems. With the rapid growth of UASs and U-Space, and the critical need for safe urban airspaces, the focus now extends beyond dependability to include security, safety, and resilience.

Workshop Co-chairs: Darren Hurley-Smith & Naghmeh Ivaki
